The new Google News organizes what’s happening in the world to help you learn more about the stories that matter to you. Google News app is available in the Android Play Store and iOS store in 127 countries.

New Features :

The app is now organized into four sections. The first is a “For You” personalized list of the top five stories Google’s software thinks you’ll want to read alongside a few other algorithmically chosen articles and local news stories. The next section is simply labelled “Headlines,” and it’s a mix of the latest news across sections like, “U.S.,” “World,” “Business,” and “Tech.”

In the “Favorites” tab you can add specific topics, sources, and locations that you’re interested in. Finally, the Newsstand tab lets you see a magazine-like interface for specific publications, such as Fox News, The New York Times, CNN and more.

It presents a continuous, flow of articles organized from thousands of publishers and magazines to help its users understand the news that matters to them. A beta version was launched in September 2002, and released officially in January 2006.  The initial idea was developed by Krishna Bharat.
