One UI is a software overlay developed by Samsung Electronics for its Android devices. Succeeding Samsung Experience and TouchWiz, it is designed to be further streamlined, with specific optimizations to ease one-handed use of smartphones with large screens.
[1] Sleeping Apps :
The "Always Sleeping Apps" option allows you to add apps to the list which will not be allowed to run in the background henceforth.
[2] Night Mode :

[3] Lock screen notifications :
This setting is available under the Notification settings. Tap on the option called "Control how notifications..' and customize the settings.
[4] Universal Search :
From names of apps to quick settings options, anything that matches your search queries will pop up here.
[5] Secure Folder :
You can keep photos and files, even set up social media and chat apps with a separate account.
Trivia :
One UI was designed as part of a goal to make Samsung's hardware and software "work together in perfect harmony", and provide a more "natural" experience on large-screen smartphones. As with Android Pie upstream, the Overview screen of recent apps uses a horizontal layout, as opposed to the vertical layout of previous versions.
