Apple unveiled the new version of its iOS operating system for iPhone and iPod devices. iPad is getting its own iPadOS. iOS 13 will bring a number of new features and improvements, including the dark mode, new Apple Maps experience, enhancements to the Photos app, and much more.

Dark mode on iOS 13 will make most of Apple's own apps take on a darker color scheme, making it more comfortable to use an iPhone in darker settings. Dark mode could even add extra time to an iPhone's battery life, as dark modes typically use less power than bright screens.

IPad now runs iPadOS :

It lets you pin widgets to the home screen, provides a better multitasking interface.

Permits multiple windows in apps with split screen.

Safari on iPad will pull the desktop site resized for its display and optimized for touch input.

Now there's a column view in Files, more metadata and quick actions. Folder sharing finally comes to "iCloud Drive", and you'll be able to attach to network servers.
