Roman Reigns : 500 days as WWE Universal Champion
News : Roman Reigns continues to grind important milestones in his WWE career. With this Wednesday, the former Shield crossed the milestone of 500 days as a WWE Universal Champion.
The Tribal Chief won the title almost two years ago, during the PPV Payback on 30 August 2020: on that occasion, Reigns defeated "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman in a triple threat valid for the title.
During his titled dominance, Reigns successfully defended the belt against the likes of Daniel Bryan, Edge, John Cena, Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor, Cesaro, Kevin Owens and Brock Lesnar. Also, the Tribal Chief hasn't lost a single match since 2019, when he was defeated by Baron Corbin at TLC. And that's not all: a few more days and he will equal - and in all probability exceed - the 503-day world champion record held by his latest and perhaps greatest rival, Brock Lesnar; curiously, that reign of "The Beast" was interrupted by Reigns at Summerslam in 2018.
The next titled challenge that the Tribal Chief will have to face will be against his former partner in the Shield, Seth Rollins, a match that will take place at the Royal Rumble in the night of 29 January.
