Will 4G mobile become useless with the advent of 5G?
Right now, it will take two years to spread 5G all over India. Even after that, the main internet will remain 4G because 5G is not for everyone. A friend was using 5G, and his 1.5GB of data for the whole day was getting exhausted. Although the speed is tremendous, But the data ends quickly.
5G networks offer several major improvements compared to 4G. 5G can achieve download speeds of up to 1 GB/s, which is much faster than 4G. 4G tops out at around 100 Mbps. This means 5G can support more data-intensive activities such as high-definition video streaming and virtual reality. Latency is also lower in 5G networks, which means the time it takes for data to be transmitted between devices is reduced.
Will 4G mobile become useless with the advent of 5G?
This becomes very important for applications such as online gaming and remote healthcare. Additionally, 5G networks can support a large number of connected devices, making them compatible with the growing Internet of Things (IoT).
Even after the arrival of the 4G network, 2G mobiles are still running, and similarly, after the arrival of 5G, 4G mobiles will also continue to work as long as the telecom company wants. When it comes to data networks, 4G sims operate on 3G mobile networks. As of today, there is no 2G support in the Jio network; this network only supports 4G. Big companies like Airtel, Voda, Idea, and BSNL are still providing 2G support because they have a huge market of 2G customers. For this (except BSNL), these companies run two networks.
