2500 Year-old jar of Eggs discovered
Archaeologists have discovered a jar of light blue-coloured eggs, with only one broken, in a 2500-year-old tomb in China, state media reported. "The egg white and yolk have largely decomposed...via DNA tests we will be able to identify whether they were pickled," archaeologists said. They added they would use X-rays to determine the number of eggs in the jar.

The excavation site was a multi-level ancient tomb complex near the city of Nanjing. It contained a total of 38 tomb chambers, archaeologists told reporters.
The extraordinary discovery, made by archaeologists from the Nanjing Archaeological Institute and the Liyang Museum, will soon be transferred to a laboratory for multiple tests.
