Hardy Boyz Reunion in WWE: One Last Time?
Entertainment: Hardy Boyz Reunion in WWE: One Last Time? A Dream Scenario for Fans. Matt Hardy talks about possibly returning to WWE with Jeff Hardy.
Chris Van Vliet to Matt: It's been pretty public that your AW contracts are coming to an end. What are you thinking about when you're thinking about?
What's next? If it's resigning there, if it's going back to WWE, what's important to you at this stage of your life?
Matt Hardy: What's important to me, I think more than anything else right now, is just like the legacy of Jeff and me. We get mentioned in the conversation of the greatest tag team ever, of course, and we want to help younger teams; we want to build teams, but also you have to be put in a position. Succeed where you do seem relevant, where you do seem like you're at the top of your game.
You can't just go out there and like get beat every single week. So it's very important to me that we're utilized in the right way so that when we do have a program with someone and we build to a big match and when they beat us, then it means something because if you just get beat without reason, it doesn't really mean anything.

Author's Note:
The Hardy Boys were absolutely the reason I watched wrestling as a kid. Always had the action figures and such too. 100% greatest tag team of all time, imo.
What Matt Hardy described with getting beat without reason is exactly what’s happening to the Hardys in AEW. I would think at some point they would have a big feud with the Young Bucks, but nope, it’s messing around with Private Party or Top Flight and losing to them in a go-nowhere match.
That's exactly what happened to the Dudley Boyz in their last run in WWE. They were always losing. It didn't mean anything.
This is a lesson I wish Cena would learn. Solo, Theory, etc. would've benefited much more from losing a match then picking up a win later rather than winning a one-off forgettable match against a guy who comes across as a has-been.
It would be cool if the hardys came back to WWE to finish off their careers and put over a young team like the Creed Brothers. At this stage, while it wouldn't suit Jeff, Matt coming back to WWE to manage/mentor a young team could be pretty cool. One that shows promise, but having a veteran working with them to maybe show them some ins and outs, help them on the mic.
