Elon Musk scraps tunnel project under Los Angeles 405 freeway

Elon Musk’s Boring Company has cancelled plans for a transportation tunnel under Los Angeles’ traffic-plagued 405 freeway. The Boring Company confirmed it is still seeking to build a tunnel at Dodger Stadium and a test tunnel in Hawthorne, which is scheduled to open in December.

Update: A previous version of this moment incorrectly stated that the scrapped project was expected to open in December and that The Boring Company had announced new projects.
