Nokia 8 smartphone update brings April security patch

Nokia 8 smartphone has received a new software update bringing the April Android security patch to the smartphone. This is an OTA update based on Android 9 Pie. Besides the latest security patch, it does not bring major changes or new features to the smartphone. This update is being rolled out in India and Austria via the stable channel.

Features :

Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 MSM8998 chipset, Octa-core (2.45 GHz, Quad core, Kryo 280 + 1.8 GHz, Quad core, Kryo 280) processor with a Ram of 4GB for smooth performance.

The device delivers outstanding visual experience owing to an amazing combination of Adreno 540 graphics and architecture of 64 bit. The Android-powered smartphone is IP54 certified i.e. Splash proof, and sports a 5.3-inch Quad HD IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, screen to body ratio of 69.19 percent and 554 PPI pixel density.

The screen of Nokia 8 is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass v5. It comprises of a capacitive touchscreen and weighs 160 grams and measures 7.9 mm in thickness, 73.7 mm in width & 151.5 mm height.
