Why Is South Indian Cinema Ahead of Bollywood?
Entertainment : Indian cinema has seen changes with time. South Indian cinema have left Bollywood miles away in terms of success. See Indian cinema through my eyes.
Today I am talking about a popular topic. This is Indian cinema. There is a Bollywood (Hindi Cinema) in this, which has been more successful in North India. But, today, Bollywood is losing its identity. Once upon a time, Bollywood ruled Indian cinema.Today, South Indian cinema is ruling in India. Their superstars are well-known throughout India. Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Yash, and Allu Arjun have become very big names.
Why do Bollywood films consistently fail?
Bollywood, one of India's biggest industries, has recently experienced significant losses. In Bollywood, many films flopped last year. Great hopes were held for films like 83, Atrangi Re, Gangubai, and Bacchan Pandey. Despite having such large budgets and starring Bollywood A-listers like Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, Alia Bhatt, and Ranveer Singh, all of them were abject failures. At the same time, other southern films found success at the box office.
I want to offer some criticism about Bollywood. They proceed along the same path. I notice a pattern in nearly all Bollywood films. Dubai hosts shootings; celebrities enjoy themselves; everyone eats and drinks. They earn between 100 and 200 crores by investing only 50 crores, yet there is no plot or talented cast. It's business, plain and simple. The majority of the directors, producers, and leading performers have settled in Dubai. These folks exhibit a diverse culture and way of life. On the other hand, Indian roots and realism in cinema can not be avoided for very long.
The truth is that the South Indian industry has much better creativity and content for movies. The day Indian people stop considering actors as their role models, on that day, our country will really progress. The main reason, I would say, is "social media," which makes people aware of how Bollywood doesn't value our Indian culture. The South Indian industry, on the other hand, values our culture, making the North Indian audience feel more connected to them.
Social media networks like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, WhatsApp, Twitter, YouTube, and others are extremely popular. People anxiously anticipated the movies ten to fifteen years ago since they were the only available form of entertainment. The decision to watch a movie or not has become more common in modern times after viewing the trailer. Before, it wasn't like this. The films of many big stars used to run at the box office only in their names.

The public needs to see high-quality movies.

Social networking sites occupy the majority of people's time. I'm a Madhya Pradesh native. Movies from the South are very popular here. Really wonderful movies, fresh stories, and more are produced in South India. Movies are a lot of fun. Bollywood is where those South Indian film remakes are produced. The time has passed for remakes of films. It's all thanks to online video services like Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and Disney Hotstar. Indian audiences now watch only original movies. Along with this, these films are also being dubbed into Hindi. In North India, movies like RRR and KGF have done exceptionally well.
Bollywood would undoubtedly suffer if it invested time and money into producing films like Race 2, Satyamev Jayate 2, Fan & Zero (SRK), and Bachhan Pandey. Movies can't keep on being made with bad remakes, bad plots, and bad direction. The actors and actresses from South India appear quite authentic. Shahrukh Khan himself has forgotten how many outstanding films he has contributed to Indian cinema. Swades and Chak De India are two of SRK's most memorable films.
Bollywood is more concerned with the songs and actors than the quality of the camera work. They attempted to emulate Hollywood but lagged far behind in CGI. Graphics alone are not crucial. Additionally, it's crucial to the film's direction and plot. If not, all Hollywood productions would be box office successes.
Why Is South Indian Cinema Ahead of Bollywood?
Even though I don't speak the original language, I've been viewing South Indian movies since 2011 with subtitles since they are superior to Hindi movies. The South Indian film industry, I must admit, is more inventive and talented than Bollywood. The most recent example is Pushpa. It performed wonderfully well. RRR and KGF touched on new dimensions of success.
Watch Bollywood's last few movies. The remake was also not copied properly. Due to nepotism, awards are also not given properly in Bollywood. It is not that there is no nepotism in South Indian cinema. It certainly is. The South Nepo kids are quite humble. Their lifestyle is normal. The nepotism of Bollywood is not spared from showoffs; they appear to be cut off from the general public of India.
The motto of Bollywood should be to remove nepotism and bring talent. Show something new, not a remake of an old film. Let the Bollywood industry create its own unique content right now. Chinese people make movies in their own style. They don't just copy Hollywood movies.
