'Tron: Ares' to Feature Iconic Nine Inch Nails Score
Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross will bring their signature sound to the futuristic world of 'Tron'. This is a match made in electronic heaven. Fans of both Nine Inch Nails and the 'Tron' franchise are in for a treat.
Not sure if any of you noticed, but that picture of Ares’ costume that went public had the word Dillinger on it. He must have been written by a user at Dillinger Systems, the rival of ENCOM. Both the original sequel idea and this film seem to indicate an invasion of the digital world into the real world.
Tron Fans Demand Main Story
In Tron Legacy, Clu almost succeeded but was stopped by being reintegrated with Kevin Flynn. As far as we know, ENCOM didn’t know anything about Flynn’s experiments behind the Tron arcade cabinet.
What if these invaders were part of a secret project by Edward Dillinger?
Honestly, I just want them to actually finish the trilogy, no side stories. I liked Tron Legacy for what it was and would like to see those characters again. They better not mess this up. Legacy was a perfect film, and they better not pale the amazing world that was built in 2010.
As much as I enjoyed Tron Legacy, I have absolutely zero confidence in Tron 3 under current Disney.
At this point, we need a TRON LIVES movement. We saw TRON reboot himself at the end of Legacy. The technology is there this time to do him right. I’m not going near this thing without Bruce Boxleitner.
Why You Should Watch Tron Uprising
I remember seeing Tron Legacy in theaters and liking it. I think as time has gone on, it is finally getting the respect it deserves. It's very underappreciated, and I enjoy it more now than before. I highly recommend watching the Tron Uprising animated series from 2012. Acts as a prequel to Legacy and a number of actors from the film cameo. Does a great job expanding the world and lore too.
It's a cartoon, but I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, it leaves you kind of hanging at the end because they were planning on more seasons and it only received 1 but it's well worth the watch.
